What I love about Roxio Easy Media Creator 9 is that it has so many wonderful and useful features that you will never run out of things to do with it. It can do just about anything imaginable with digital photos, audio and video, plus burning, copying and backup features. It's available for PC and Mac.

You can you use Easy Media Creator to organize and edit thousands of your digital photos (it comes packaged with Roxio's Photo Suite 8 - see review here), import photos captured from your mobile phone, transfer images to your cell phone, PSP or iPod, or create DVDs of your photos.

But the photo features are just a small part of what is offered. You can convert your old LPs and music cassettes to digital format and then transfer them to your iPod, burn music CDs and DVDs, and one of my favorite features: convert DVDs, TiVo files and set-top DVD recorder shows into compressed video formats to view on your iPod, PSP, cell phone, or other portable media player, as well as burn them to DVD. You can also edit video, produce DVDs with movable menus, resizable buttons and text credits, edit text with motion, rotation and 3D controls an make Menu-to-menu and title-to-menu transitions, and much more. There are easy-to-use back-up features to back up your system, too.

The software is well organized and surprisingly easy to use. There are numerous wizards to help you with various tasks plus a detailed manual. One of the biggest surprises is the price. With all the features, you'd expect it to be several hundred dollars, but it is under $100.
