Hi,
The sights and sounds of Fall are definitely in the air! Halloween is coming up and if you have little ones, read my tips on taking better Halloween photos and dealing with tricky lighting.
Photo Books on Sale
As you begin to plan for the upcoming holiday season, now is a great time to get caught up on downloading and printing summer photos that are still sitting in your camera or on your computer or, my personal favorite, creating photo books from them.
I have so many loose photos that I've never gotten around to putting into albums, and now it seems like such a chore to sort through them. So instead of making prints, I've found it's easy and not that expensive to create photo books either on line at Shutterfly or Kodak Gallery or another service, or by using my own software like Photoshop Elements, My Memories Suite or Smilebooks. I now have several beautiful, professional looking photo books to display. You don't have to be naturally creative or a techie to create photo books because there are lots of templates and layouts to choose from and the software (either online or on your computer) does almost everything for you. Photo books are also lighter and less bulky than traditional photo albums.

Review: Photoshop Elements 8
Adobe just released Photoshop Elements 8. Once again, this is the best photo editing and enhancing software for under $100. Photoshop Elements includes many of the features of the much more expensive Photoshop in an easier, intuitive tabbed interface. You can edit, organize and enhance your photos, create calendars, photo books, greeting cards and scrapbooks and more. New enhancements include an Auto Analyzer to practically automate image tagging and a new People Recognition feature that identifies people in images, plus new one-click image editing tools. Adobe is offering a $20 mail-in rebate. You can read my full review of Photoshop Elements 8 here.
