ACDSee 9 Photo Manager ,
the software company's newest release of their best-selling photo
manager software, users get faster viewing, organizing, enhancing
and sharing capabilities. Once again, ACDSee leads the pack
with a feature-filled program that is easy
to use and offers excellent value for the money. Among the new features
in ACDSee 9 are Quick View mode, Desktop Showroom,
the Shadow/Highlight tool, Auto Categories, Calendar
Events and View Private Folders.
New Features in ACDSee Photo Manager 9
Quick View Mode: see your
photos onscreen instantly, either when opening images in an
e-mail attachment, or double-clicking on a JPEG from Windows Explorer.
Shadow/Highlight
tool: Saves shots that you may have thought unsalvageable. This
tool makes it simple to instantly and automatically correct photos
that are either too dark or too bright. Haven't we all taken poorly
exposed photos that we dispair how to fix them without washing out
the background? This tool will be invaluable for many of us. Users
can also fix red-eye with a single click using an improved red-eye
reduction tool.
ACDSee Showroom: A fun and easy way to
see your photos. Just set a folder path to your favorite pictures
and a movable window appears on your desktop that displays your
photos either in sequence or random.
Auto Categories: ACDSee 9 organizes your
photos for you. When using the Get Photos command from your camera,
ACDSee will automatically put your pictures into categories based
on their camera information, file properties, keywords, size, date
taken.
Calendar Events View: Automatically organizes
your images based on the date they were taken. They're displayed
in an organized event list and you can add your own unique descriptions.
Private Folders: Make specific photos or
folders confidential by moving them to your own password-protected
Private Folder.
I've been using my wishlist
features a whole lot more, and have been doing a lot of work in
ACDSee getting organized. It is surprisingly inspirational to organize
this stuff - I forget how much COOL stuff I have purchased in the
last few years!

ACDSee Photo Manager 9 Also Includes:
- Quick Search Bar to find your photos
fast. Just type in a word and ACDSee returns matches in image
captions, author information and notes, as well as filenames,
keywords, categories and folders.
- Create Video or VCD (video compact disc)
features. Create slide shows with music and watch them on your
TV or PC.
- CD and DVD burn features. TheBurn Basket
lets you drag and drop files or folders. Create new folders within
the Burn Basket. It estimates the amount of space you have left
on the disk so you can see if you have enough room to add your
current project.
- Photo editing tools: A photo repair
tool with clone and healing options fixes blemishes, flares, scratches,
etc. Eliminate red eye with one click, use custom angle rotations
and automatically crop your selections, select from 27 filters
and effects.
- Add text - You can add text anywhere
you want and enhance it with styles and special effects. Select
talk and thought bubbles or straight text.
- Batch processing: rename, resize, rotate
and flip, and adjust exposure on a group of photos at the same
time. The Batch Set Information feature lets you to update image
description caption, date/time, author, notes etc. info, and view
previews of new values for any number of images simultaneously.
- HTML albums with page layout
controls make posting and sharing your photos on the Web fun and
easy.
- Sync feature that lets you to synchronize
folders on your PC with network folders or an external hard drive
in case of local hard drive failure (a nice benefit!).
