Adobe Photo Album 2.0

Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 Adobe Photoshop Album is another great tool for organizing your images and ideal for beginners. Not only can you quickly grab images from your camera and CDs, you can view all your photos in one place—even if they are in different folders on your computer. With its calendar feature you can can opt to view all pictures taken on a certain date or period of time. Photoshop Album 2.0 lets you rename your pictures, give them keywords such as names of people, places or events in the photos that you can use to sort and locate particular images. An important feature of Photoshop Album is the ability to cross-categorize your pictures with multiple keywords, such as "Vacations," "1998," Grandparent" to allow for quick searching.

Photoshop Album 2.0 has easy-to-use but somewhat basic editing tools that let you get rid of red eye, brighten dark images and crop. You get a range of free digital photo templates for creating custom cards, calendars, and slide shows. You can also select photos to upload to an online photo service for printing. For safekeeping you can also archive your photos by burning a CD with your photos right from Photoshop Album.

The bottom line: Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 is great for categorizing and organizing your photos, but a bit limited on photo retouching options. Still, it is a good investment at a reasonable price, especially if you have lots of photos to organize.
