The magic that makes this happen is a \u201cphoto wizard\u201d or \u201cinstant book\u201d type tool, which most photo book services offer in addition to the custom book method.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.digitalphotos101.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/shutterfly-travel-theme.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"552\" height=\"300\" src=\"http:\/\/www.digitalphotos101.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/shutterfly-travel-theme.jpg\" alt=\"Shutterfly Simple Path templates and themes\" class=\"wp-image-615\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.digitalphotos101.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/shutterfly-travel-theme.jpg 552w, http:\/\/www.digitalphotos101.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/shutterfly-travel-theme-300x163.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 552px) 100vw, 552px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Shutterfly offers some nice templates for their Simple Path photo books that only take a few minutes to make.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p>This wizard will take all your photos and auto-fill, i.e., &nbsp;place them automatically, in chronological order, into a pre-designed template. Often there is a limit on the number of images per page, typically a maximum of four images are allowed. Making a book this way is very easy; &nbsp;you just upload your photos into an online album at your favorite online photo service, pick a photo book size and theme, and click the mouse. In a few minutes, your photo book will be fully loaded and ready for you to review. You still have a few options; you can rearrange photos or pages and add captions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is an instant book the right process for you? Here are some things to consider:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It\u2019s a good choice if:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This is your first photo book and you are still trying to get the hang of how the whole process works.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;You are short on time and need to get a book done in a hurry for a gift or other occasion and the clock is ticking.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You want to make a small album, such as a 5&#215;7 baby brag book or snap book. It\u2019s a fast and easy way for a new mom to show off photos of the new little one without spending a lot of time on it when she could be sleeping.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your photos are from a single event such as a new baby or a birthday party and you have a manageable amount of photos (less than 100) that don\u2019t need a lot of organizing and rearranging.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are happy with having a range of pre-set styles and backgrounds to choose from and have found a nice template that you like. Most companies have some really beautiful templates and using them does make life easier. I particularly like the ones from <a href=\"\/blog\/mixbook-review.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Mixbook<\/a>, they have a wonderful selection and they are very well done.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You don\u2019t want or need to do a lot of customization. It\u2019s fine with you if you possibly have fewer choices in terms of font styles, sizes and colors, as they may be tied to the pre-set template. <a href=\"\/blog\/shutterflyphotobook\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Shutterfly<\/a> makes some nice templates for their \u201cSimple Path\u201d photo book process, but you don\u2019t have as many choices as far as fonts and backgrounds versus their \u201cCustom Path.\u201d Mixbook is much more flexible.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&nbsp;You aren\u2019t obsessed with having total control over every little thing. You are more concerned about time.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/blog\/mixbook\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"600\" height=\"371\" src=\"http:\/\/www.digitalphotos101.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/mixbook-baby-themes.jpg\" alt=\"Mixbook baby themes and templates\" class=\"wp-image-613\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.digitalphotos101.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/mixbook-baby-themes.jpg 600w, http:\/\/www.digitalphotos101.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/mixbook-baby-themes-300x185.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">All of Mixbook&#8217;s themes and templates can be used for auto-fill books as well as custom photo books.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n<p><strong>An autofill process may not work for you if:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Your photo book will cover several events such as a \u201cyear in review\u201d\u00a0 or a vacation involving several destinations. There are times when you want to group certain photos together and you don\u2019t want a Halloween photo next to one from your Labor Day barbeque.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You may not like the way the software laid out your photos. You could be a control freak like me who wants to have complete control over the layout, size of photos, and where they are placed. Although you can usually do some rearranging in the Autofill process if you are going to re-do everything then it won\u2019t be a quickie book, and it can actually take you longer if you have to move everything around.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You want to design your own layout. I am not against using a pre-designed template \u2013 in fact, I like using them because there are some wonderful ones with great backgrounds and most companies like <a href=\"\/blog\/mixbook\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Mixbook<\/a>, <a href=\"\/blog\/shutterflyphotobook\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Shutterfly<\/a><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/ad.linksynergy.com\/fs-bin\/show?id=9AqQ8IIlvfw&amp;bids=184362.10000869&amp;type=3&amp;subid=0\" alt=\"\"> and <a href=\"\/blog\/snapfishbooks\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Snapfish <\/a>offer a lot of flexibility.
