Insert Your Images
in Photo Layouts See the Photo Layouts, which are the photo
frames that contain placeholders for photos.
When you double-click on a placeholder, you will be taken
to the main FotoFinish program area, where you can select
one of your photos and drag-and-drop it into your place
holder. Close the image to get back to Designer.
I'm going to double-click the
top frame, and in the main FotoFinish area I will open Photo
Explorer and open an album with pictures of my dog, Molly.
I select a picture by dragging and dropping. Since my dog's
eyes have red eye, I use the red-eye tool to fix it. Then
I just close the photo and I am back in Designer, with my
photo of Molly in the top frame. Then I repeat the process
and insert a second photo of her in the bottom frame.
Resize and reshape
your Photo Frames This is the fun part. Want to change a photo frame?
You can resize any photo frame by first selecting it and
then dragging the black resizing handles located along the
edges of the frame. By default, when you replace the placeholder
with a real photo it will fill the entire frame area. You
can also resize the frame once it has a photo inserted in
it. If you modify its proportions, you can reveal more of
an otherwise larger photo. I'm going to leave my frame as-is,
but feel free to experiment with yours.
Rotating
Photo Frames and Pictures
You can rotate a photo frame by dragging on the circular
Rotation Handle near its edge. However, the image inside
it does not rotate. To rotate the photo, use the
Rotate command in the main FotoFinish program before placing
it into the photo frame in Designer. You can edit your framed
photo by double-clicking on it. This takes you to the regular
FotoFinish program. After editing your photo, close the
window and your edited photo will be updated in the frame.
