Change the Appearance
of a Photo Frame
Right-click on any frame and select a shape from the Shape
menu, such as a starburst, triangle, a heart, etc. You can
also set a frame's border thickness, style, and color from
the Shapes menu on the toolbar. I'm going to add a gold
border around my photos.
Add or Delete
a Photo Frame
To add a photo frame, drag and drop a frame shape from
the tool bar. To delete, simply select the frame and hit
"delete." I am going to add another photo frame
to use as a background "matting" for my photos.
I have selected a large vertical rectangle, and inserted
a photo (Tiles: Solids no. 8) to use as a background.
When you do this
you'll find the new photo frame is on top of your photos.
We want it in the background. To send it to the background,
click on the frame and on the tool bar select Arrange
and Send to Back. I put a thick gold dotted line
around the background frame.
Adding Text
Click on the Text Tool and type anywhere on the background
of your layout. Text is treated as a floating object you
can drag to any position in your layout. You can change
the appearance of your text by using the commands under
the Text menu or the text buttons on your toolbar. I'm going
to add a title, added a black background to the text box
and a gold line.
Adding Graphics
Open a clip art library by double-clicking on its name in
the Explorer or by dragging it to the drawing area. Just
drag and drop any clip art object from it to the page. You
can resize or rotate clip art by dragging the black handles
you to resize or rotate it. Reposition it by dragging and
dropping it on your page. I'll add a paw print (found under
symbols).
Here is my finished scrapbook page. Use
your imagination and have fun!
