CanvasPress.com Offers Quality Prints, Fast Turnaround
Canvas prints are an elegant and inexpensive way to decorate your walls, either at home or at the office. By transferring one of your favorite photos onto canvas, you can create a unique piece of art. Recently I checked out CanvasPress.com for making large canvas prints and the process is so easy and surprisingly affordable. They offer monthly discounts plus frequent free shipping offers.
After creating a free account, you can upload one or more photos from your PC. Coming soon is the capability of uploading photos from Flickr and Picasa, as well as stock images. There is a helpful chart with guidelines for canvas size vs the megapixels of your original image to make sure your photo can be enlarged and reproduced properly. After your picturehas been uploaded, there is an indicator to tell you, on a sliding scale, whether your photo is poor, good or great at your selected size, and you can see the canvas borders and where the image will wrap on the sides. Border Styles
The default border is "image", which means the portion of your image that extends past the edge will wrap on the sides. (See Pick Your Border" on the left side of the photo above.) I think that looks the best. You also have the options of mirror wrap, which means the portions near the edges will be repeated on the sides of the frame. You can also choose a solid color border instead of wrapping the image.
Color and Touch-up Options
For $15 extra you can choose to have your image converted to sepia tone or black and white. There are also options for minor or major editing at additional charge. This might be worthy if you have an old family print that needs some touching up, or an otherwise beautiful photo except for an unwanted object in the background.
Oil Painting Effect
A nice option they offer is the ability to give your photo canvas an oil painting effect. There are two styles. According to their website, True Oilworks stay true to the original photograph while enhancing the smooth, brush-stroked look of a painting. Master Oilworks are a new masterpiece inspired by your original photograph and finished with an embellishing gel for a real 3D look and feel.
New: AlumiPrints
Canvas Press has introduced aluminum prints with high resolution detail and a smooth, glossy surface. The printed image is bonded to a coated sheet of 1/16" (.040) thickbrushed aluminum. They add brush strokes to create texture and the metallic reflection creates a vibrant 3D print. Shades of gray become glistening silver and yellows and oranges become shimmering gold and rich amber.

I think Canvas Press is a great option for reasonably priced, customized photo canvas. Colors are rich and vibrant, the ordering is quick and easy, and delivery is prompt. Excellent and personal customer service. Standard production time is just 2 business days.

If you need help or have questions during the order process, there is an automated system where you can request help and the photo canvas in questions is automatically referenced. You can contact customer service by phone, email or online contact form. They offer a limited 100 percent guarantee for your canvas. If you are not satisfied with your canvas quality, just send it back within 30 days and they will reprint it or refund your money. The image must meet or exceed their minimum image print quality rating as posted on their site.
A final note, customers even get a hand-written thank-you note. Not something you see every day, or ever.
